Like Rathy mentioned in her previous post, we were sent some beautiful polishes from Il Etait Un Vernis to try. The formula for these were absolutely excellent and a charm to work with. I think my favorite of the bunch would have to be Something To Remember. I love this mauve-y purple color, and thought it would look perfect with a little accent of gold. I tried some nail stamping for the first time using Born Pretty’s stamping plate item #17266.
The last three polishes from the Deborah Lippmann Party Mix set that I’ll be swatching are all glitter polishes. And if you know Deborah Lippmann polishes, you know that her glitters are amazing. For Part I of the swatches, visit this link. For Part II, visit this link.
And now on to the swatches!
Deborah Lippmann 99 Luftballons 3 coats and top coat
Some of Deborah Lippmann’s glitters either work well on their own, or need a help with a solid base. I am swatching it without a base color here. But it might be easier to top this glitter over a red or dark pink polish. It took about 3-4 heavy coats to get good coverage, which tends to get a little clumpy. 99 Luftballons is a multicolor glitter polish in a sheer red jelly base. Not a huge fan. I think I prefer Happy Birthday instead which I used here.
Deborah Lippmann Let’s Go Crazy 3 coats and top coat
This royal purple glitter polish is so much fun. This glitter actually paints on fairly decent because the base is a little more opaque when layered. It can definitely wear on its own, or as a top coat.
Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow 3 coats and top coat
Lovely!!! This is another one of my favorites among her glitters. It’s such a pretty 24 karat gold of sparkle. It wears lovely on its own, but I think it looks amazing as a top coat on a nude base or any other color for that matter. Love it!
And there you have it! All nine polishes from the Deborah Lippmann Party Mix set available at Sephora.com. You can also purchase the full sized bottles of any of these colors which retail between $18-20.
Additional polishes used: Deborah Lippmann Fashion and Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed Top Coat

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to purchase another Deborah Lippmann set during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. This one is a Limited Edition Sephora exclusive of nine different Deborah Lippmann polishes that are just perfect for all of your holiday parties. I love these mini sets because you get so many polishes to play with. This set is especially worth the price. It’s currently on sale for $39 at Sephora.com.
Since there were so many polishes, I’ve divided up the posts. The only dupe is Fashion which happens to be a favorite polish so I didn’t mind. All of the others were new for me.
So here’s what you get: Fashion, It’s Raining Men, Between the Sheets, Whatever Lola Wants, Good Girl Gone Bad, Through the Fire, 99 Luftballons, Let’s Go Crazy, and Boom Boom Pow.
I just received these adorable Born Pretty Snowflake decals just in time for some cute winter nail art. These were delicate but sturdy decals, and I handled them mainly with a pair of tweezers. I did have to press them down a bit against my nail with an orange stick and sealed them with a nice layer of top coat.
I thought the gold would look nice against a soft almost white gray so I decided to go with this gorgeous piCture pOlish Lakodom, packed with a ton of subtle micro-glitter. It took me 3 coats to reach full opacity, the formula was easy to work with and did not clump up at all. Yet another excellent polish from the ladies at piCture pOlish
