I have some swatches of Color Club polishes from Live Love Polish to share with you today. ^_^

The first one is Color Club Nature’s Way. This is a lovely light nude cream. The formula is excellent, opaque after 2-3 coats (photos show 3 coats). I added a layer a top coat to finish.

31DC2014: Day 06 Violet Nails

31DC2014: Day 06 Violet Nails

Those poor unfortunate souls…

I’ve been dying to paint Ursula for awhile. This one inspired the whole theme of painting various villains for these color prompts. I actually quite like Ursula, if she teaches you anything at all in this movie, it would be that you should read the fine print before signing any forms. :P

The base for this one is a new polish from piCture pOlish Pandora. Isn’t it just stunning? All photos are taken in direct lighting (what it would look like under the sun) in order to capture this beautiful holographic.

piCture pOlish Blog/Insta Fest 2014

Hi guys, I’m participating in the piCture pOlish Blog/InstaFest 2014 this year! There are two parts to this festival and 5 selected participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing piCture pOlish for a shade in their 2015 blogger’s collection. How neat is that?

So without further ado, here is Part 1! Part 1 is a swatch of a piCture pOlish nail polish. I was given Frosting to swatch and review. Frosting is a very girly glitter mix of white hearts, purple, magenta, white, and silver mini hex glitters suspended in a murky pale lavendar (almost white) cream. I had no problem getting to full opacity with 3 coats. I smoothed the glitter out with a layer of top coat.

The color is very cute and it reminded me a bit of this lavendar cupcake I really love so I used it as an excuse to get a cupcake. It’s for the picture!! (I did eat the cupcake too.)

Part 2 is in collaboration with NailVinyls. I was given the colors Honeydew and Peaches ‘n Cream to create a look using these awesome nail vinyls. (Mine were a packet of striped vinyls.) I was very happy with my color combination. Honeydew is bright mint green and Peaches ‘N Cream is a soft coral. The two colors in combination are so beautiful and bright, they pack just the right amount of punch as we close out on summer 2014. (Don’t they remind you of a cute summer cocktail?)

The vinyls are seriously so awesome, I’ve always found striping tape in general kind of flimsy. But these vinyls really take care of the job. They block the paint really well, they mold nicely to my nail shape, they are just sticky enough that they don’t peel off the layer below. I’m a pretty big fan and am looking forward to trying out some of their other products.

Some helpful tips, since we get this question a lot: You do want to leave 15 minutes between your previous layer/base coat and the tape. It also helps to put a layer of fast drying top coat on your previous/base coat to ensure the previous layer doesn’t come off with the tape. Generally you also want to pull the tape off within a few seconds (before the paint dries) of applying to the paint doesn’t dry to the tape and then you pull all of it off. :)

piCture pOlish is an Australian brand, but no worries, there are plenty of online e-tailers like Llarowe that ship in the U.S. Here is a list of International sites that stock piCture pOlish.

piCture pOlish Imperial

I’ve been seeing pictures of Imperial on Instagram over and over and it is seriously such a gorgeous color. I love how saturated this purple is and the little specks of gold glitter. This was a pretty hard color to capture on camera, but I’ve done the best I could. I can’t keep my eyes off my fingers. *_* The brand is an Australian brand, piCture pOlish.

The formula is amazing. On my thumb and ring finger I have two coats of the polish with a top coat. It dries a bit matte, in my photos I finished my nails with a top coat. I did have some trouble removing this since there are glitters in the polish, but it’s not a deal breaker. I’ve used glitters that were 10x harder to remove than this one. :-)
