Hello all!!! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! And Julep sent us such wonderful gifts this year! Loooooove them! There were several gorgeous nail polishes, and well as two It’s Whipped matte lip mousse. And a sophisticated clutch for the night out! Whhhhhat???! I may have to show these off in additional posts!
Shown: It’s Whipped Matte Lip Mousse in Ooh La La (L) and XOXO (R).
Of course what would Valentine’s Day be without some fun nails to show off!
Sailor Jupiter has always been one of my favorite sailor scouts. Although green is not my favorite color, something about her character drew me to her. Maybe it’s her special ability or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I used the gorgeous scatter holo green piCture pOlish Hercynia as the dominant color for this look. I pulled out all of my greens in my nail polish collection and felt this one worked the best. (All of my other greens had either too much yellow or too much blue in them, I’m a little lacking in the true green department :P).
For this look, I have something borrowed. It is actually something very meaningful to me (as well as my husband), because what inspired this look was the pearl necklace that belonged to my husband’s late mother. I wore it on our wedding day so that she was able to be a part of the ceremony and celebration of our marriage, even though she could not be with us physically.
I have another wedding nail art inspiration that will take a simple French manicure into something pretty and delicate for your wedding day.
One of the “Something Old” that came to mind was something that a friend included in her wedding. It was a piece of lace from her mother’s gown that she had incorporated into her own. So I decided to create my own lace nail art. It turned out so lovely that I think I could wear this on any occasion!
For those that need a sweeter look for New Year’s Eve to go with that elegant dress of yours, here’s a pretty pink manicure with just a touch of sparkle. It’s easy enough to recreate as well with Julep‘s gorgeous nail polish.
