One of my favorite color combinations is Blue and Orange. (If it was not evident already based on Petite Peinture’s color scheme, or my personal website ) I decided to try a watermarble with the beautiful Julep Danielle and Julep Briana that Julep gave us as part of the #BravePretty campaign.
I’ve got some beautiful polishes to show you today all the way from France! Bérangère and Stéphanie are the co-founders and creators of a nail polish brand called Il Etait Un Vernis.
One of the main awesome things about these polishes are that they are 5-free and vegan. Yay! I’ve been more apt to wear polishes that are at least 3-free or more because I was pregnant last year and I wanted to be careful of what polishes I wore, though I didn’t leave the polishes on my nails for very long.
This new collection from Il Etait Un Vernis is called Licence to Polish, an elegant and non-traditional winter collection. The subtle holographic effect has so much life to it. Absolutely beautiful! I think what also made me love this polish is the fact that the formula was amazing! I had no trouble whatsoever and it was so easy to apply.
I just received these adorable Born Pretty Snowflake decals just in time for some cute winter nail art. These were delicate but sturdy decals, and I handled them mainly with a pair of tweezers. I did have to press them down a bit against my nail with an orange stick and sealed them with a nice layer of top coat.
I thought the gold would look nice against a soft almost white gray so I decided to go with this gorgeous piCture pOlish Lakodom, packed with a ton of subtle micro-glitter. It took me 3 coats to reach full opacity, the formula was easy to work with and did not clump up at all. Yet another excellent polish from the ladies at piCture pOlish
On my middle two fingers I used piCture pOlish Bette to create a gradient for the background of my penguins. I free-handed the penguins using Julep Daria, Julep Winter, China Glaze Liquid Leather, and China Glaze Snow.
This last look for the Julep takeover is inspired by Anna of Frozen.
I took cues from her dress (see picture below) and adapted them into a nail art tutorial for you guys. :-) I loved the detailing in the embroidery paired with the light teal.
Plus, she has a cute little magenta cape with that she wears on occasion with the same subtle detailing along the trim.

Get ready for some gorgeous holiday glitter! Deborah Lippmann’s Starlight Collection with names that were inspired by the beauty of outer space.
I’m a total fan of Deborah Lippmann polishes and glitter. So when I saw this mini holiday collection, I had to get it. There are six mini polishes that are 8mL each. The entire set sells for $49 on DeborahLippmann.com. So it’s a great deal if you want to get more variety versus buying a full sized individual polish.
The colors were laid out in this order: Twilight Tone (black glitter), Blinded by the Light (silver glitter), Cosmic Love (pink/purple glitter), Fantastic Voyage (blue glitter), Champagne Supernova (champagne pink glitter), and Lost in Space (midnight blue glitter).
